What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy Can No Longer be Considered "Alternative" or "Complimentary"

Many would say that Homeopathic medicine is no longer considered “alternative” or “complimentary” medicine.  Homeopathy is now practiced worldwide and has been for over 200 years.  It is reported that over 500 million people world- wide have used Homeopathic medicines and that it plays a significant role in the healthcare systems of many countries today.

Homeopathy Understands that Symptoms are the Body's Efforts to Defend Itself Against Infections or Stress.

Homeopaths understand that symptoms represent the body’s efforts to defend itself against infections and or stress.  Homeopathy uses proven medicines that imitate, rather than hide or suppress the symptoms of the illness.  Suppressing symptoms can lead to the body providing stronger and more painful signals. One analogy is that when your automobile displays a warning sign, light such as the oil indicator flashing, you need to have it checked.  Ignoring this indicator light or perhaps hiding can lead to serious and costly damage. The same applies to mental, emotional, and physical symptoms that we express.   Once you recognize that these symptoms are important and useful defenses of the body, it makes less sense to use drugs that inhibit or suppress this wisdom.  It makes sense to use medicines such as Homeopathy that strengthen the body’s defense systems, so that it can heal itself and prevent future illness.

Health Canada

Homeopathic medicines are assessed by Health Canada and they bear a product license number on the label which informs consumers that the product has been reviewed and approved by Health Canada for safety and efficacy.

Homeopathic Vaccinations – Influenza

Homeopathic vaccinations have proven historically to be as effective as orthodox vaccination without the side affects.

World Health Organization

The World Health Organization has cited homeopathy as a system of medicine that should be integrated worldwide with conventional medicine.
